Think it through

If political parties appear so helpless to carry through the necessary defence of the legislature, it is because they have failed to rise to the challenge of privileging its integrity above partisan concerns. When the Lok Sabha is persistently locked down, when parties refuse to heed a moral case for denying a place in the House to members under a cloud of serious allegations, they will expectedly lack the punch to make a higher argument. It is difficult to make an argument against possibly frivolous cases when you don't heed the gravity of genuinely serious ones. Can the popularly endorsed creep of incursions on their domain make them see reason?
