UP resident held for abducting, raping minor

The Mohali police has arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly abducting and raping a minor. The accused has been identified as Bablu,who belongs to Moradabad district in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, Bablu had abducted a minor from Lambian village on September 1 and taken her to his home in UP.

The girl was rescued three days ago and brought back to Mohali. Medical reports of the victim confirmed rape. Bablu was arrested from Mohali on Sunday and produced in a local court, which remanded him to police custody till Tuesday. He has been booked under sections 366 and 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

1 held for sexually harassing minor

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Police have arrested a person for allegedly sexually harassing a minor girl. The accused, identified as Amandeep (22), is a resident of Bazidpur village in Kurukshetra district. According to police, Amandeep was known to the 13-year-old victim. He had gone to visit her near her residence in the city on Sunday. It was after the girls' family complained that a case was registered at the Sector 17 police station. ENS
