On Friday the Panjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover called a meeting of the representatives of the students' outfits on the campus to discuss the steps to be taken up to strengthen the security on the campus.

Moreover, the V-C has asked the students' representatives to give the authorities three dates on which they would like to have the Panjab University Campus Students' Council (PUCSC) elections.

On those representatives with IDs were allowed to attend the meeting. The students leaders urged the authorities to ban the entry of outsiders on the campus.

Regarding the banning of four wheelers in the hostels, the DSW said that PU would implement it and gave the students to think over it for a week.

This issue will be taken up in the next meeting scheduled for July 29.
