Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla's Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak turns 25

Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla's Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak completed 25 years today (April 29). The romantic drama film loosely based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet was written by Nasir Hussain and directed by his son Mansoor Khan. Mansoor Khan has arranged for the special screening of the film later this week which will be attended by the entire cast and crew.

Nasir Hussain launched his nephew, Aamir Khan with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and turned Aamir into an overnight teen sensation. "I am happy and surprised to complete 25 years in the industry. When I was new I was not aware where and how my career will head. I was told an actor's life is of five years as public then gets bored of seeing them," Aamir said.

Juhi recalls, “Mansoor would frown at our fun activities. He was the serious one, brooding over every shot while we just had fun. Mansoor never relaxed during the shooting. Juhi revealed that they shot for two endings of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. 'We shot two endings a tragic and a happy ending. Did we all want a tragic ending for the lovers in the film? No one asked us. We just went by what we were told, though I suspect Aamir was consulted about the ending.'

Juhi also shared, 'Aamir and I were like buddies. Since I was more experienced than him, having been working in Kannada and Tamil films, I thought I was a better actor.'
