Mumbai: Fire at Jolly Maker building

A major fire broke out at a residential building in the wee hours today in Mumbai, however causing no casualty to any life. The fire broke out at the 19th floor of the residential Jolly Maker building no. 1 in the city's Nariman Point area, early in the morning at around 3.00 am. About eight fire tenders arrived on the spot and rescued the people who were trapped in the floors above the fire site. The cause of the fire has been attributed to a gas leak in a certain flat on the 19th floor of the building. While talking to reporters, the fire brigade's chief fire officer S. B. Joshi said that the fire has been completely doused off for now. Joshi also added here that a total of 28 people were rescued from the top floors of the building with zero number of casualties.
