'Vishwaroopam' release stopped in Hyderabad

After being banned in Tamil Nadu, the release of much-talked about movie of the month, 'Vishwaroopam' has now been stopped in Hyderabad by the Andhra Pradesh government following complaints by Muslims organisations that the movie has hurt religious sentiments of the community. Andhra Pradesh home minister Sabita Indra Reddy directed police to stop the screening till January 28 after some Muslim leaders called on her and demanded a ban on it. Meanwhile, responding to the ban on his latest flick in Tamil Nadu, veteran Tamil actor-director Kamal Haasan called it an attempt to label the movie's contents as anti-Muslim, which is a form of cultural terrorism.
