Guwahati-born Jin Ankan Deka - a musician, documentary film maker and a teacher - came to Bangalore in Karnataka in 2006. The city's pleasant weather, friendly people and great opportunities made him stay back. Deka started playing the guitar at the age of three, and his first album Prahar: Tumi Kowa Kothabor was released when he was 18 years old. Deka has made a mark in the Assamese music industry, and is now working hard to fulfill his big dreams. In 2006, Deka launched 'Eastern Fare Music Foundation', an institute to teach music in Bangalore. The children here not only learn singing, how to play a guitar and other musical instruments, but also get an opportunity to record their songs at a music studio.
